I used the prezi for my presentation about the Louisiana Purchase. This project showed my pictures, without captions so I could describe them, a diagram that summarized the events of the Louisiana Purchase, the answers to a map activity, and the decisions that the students in my class made when I asked them questions. If the students voted yes, I would just quickly skip over no without the students seeing, and if they voted no, I would skip over the yes. This shows how I was prepared and creative I was when it came to improvisation with the student's decisions. In the next step, I would add more activities that inclined people to come up to the board so that not only do they makes decisions, they can also give feedback and show what they know to the whole class.
Throughout this whole year, I practiced present a comical piece about a marriage counselor whose clients are Adam, and Eve. The couselor what a graduated psychiatrist, and didn't notice who they were. This helped me with my diction, eye contact, and volume of voice. I placed firsts in all my competitions, and out of 200 people, I placed second in my category. I used this piece and forensics club as a way to expand my acting, my public speaking for graded presentations, and my love for making people laugh. If I were to change anything, I would have tried to memorized my piece because it is allowed in my category, and I could have used my hands and made a funnier affect on my audiences.
The point of the project was to create a story based on a book, moive or TV show, while showing an understanding of chapter 11. I used spongeBob, and I explained how slavery and cotton production were related. I used creativity because the "episode" I was trying to convey with cotton and slavery had not been made. The challenge of that was I had to keep the tone of SpongeBob the same as it is in the TV show to make it realistic. I used blan humor like in the shows, and I made sure Plankton was funny, and evil. I put a twist on the story because it was mainly based on Plankton talking to his computer wife Karen. In the next step, I would probably twist the series even more and make a book out of it. I could have short chapters that were not only in the point of view of the slave trader, Plankton, but how slave work was like in the perspective of SpongeBob, Squidward, Patrick, and Mr. Crabs.
This link goes to my spanish wiki, which I used with three other partners on a large project that involved a very large collaboration. If there was something we all needed to contribute to, we could just add our ideas to a page, and and one person could use that information to create a finished product. This piece of evidence could have also gone into the Technology area because it is based on the internet. To make this idea more extensive is to have a personal wiki with pages for all my school work to create my own personal online agenda/dasboard.
